as we honor the birth of our nation.

Tentative Schedule:

• 1:00 PM – Opening Ceremony & Flag Raising

• 1:30 PM – News Arrives By Messenger

• 2:00 PM – “Let Freedom Ring” — Bells across the country ring 13 times for the original colonies, followed by a reading of the Declaration and a ceremonial toast

Enjoy a Free Celebratory Treat After the Reading of

Strawberry Shortcake and Ice-Cream While It Lasts

Throughout the afternoon:

• Signing the Declaration

• Militia muster with musket and cannon firing

• Children’s period games and toys

• Tour the fortified homestead (nominal fee)

• We’ll close the day with the retirement of the flag
