We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the 2026 season at Fort Klock Historic Restoration on Saturday, May 16, welcoming visitors from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

As Americans pause to honor Memorial Day — a solemn day of remembrance, heroism, and profound gratitude for those who have defended our nation's freedoms — Fort Klock stands as a proud testament to the enduring spirit of liberty and resilience that shaped our great country. We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating this cherished heritage by stepping back into the formative days of the United States.

Nestled amid the picturesque beauty of New York's historic Mohawk Valley on a serene 50-acre complex, this National Historic Landmark (designated in 1972) offers an authentic immersion into 18th-century frontier life. Explore the fortified stone homestead built around 1750 by Johannes Klock — a vital trading post and place of refuge that witnessed both the French and Indian War and the heroic struggles of the American Revolutionary War.

Wander through the meticulously restored Colonial Dutch Barn, experience the rhythmic clang of the working blacksmith shop, and step inside an authentic 19th-century one-room schoolhouse. Each element brings to life the courage, ingenuity, and everyday determination of our nation's early patriots.

Whether you're a lifelong history enthusiast or simply curious to connect with the roots of American freedom, Fort Klock extends a heartfelt invitation to all. Discover, reflect, and celebrate the legacy that continues to inspire us today.

We look forward to welcoming you — your family, friends, and fellow patriots—to this living piece of our shared American story!
